What is Girl Guides about?

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. Within the organisation there are over 100,000 amazing volunteers.

What Guides do?

Our Guides like to make and do things which help the girls to explore new skills and abilities that they can gain. They can meet new people and make new friendships out of school. Our Guides are between the ages of 10-14.

What are Guides are doing at the moment?

Our Guides are campaigning to help raise awareness of responsible retailers, whilst working along side the CAP (Community Alcohol Partnership). Whilst working with CAP they have created a logo for Reading's Responsible Retailer Award, whilst doing this they wanted to create a mascot for the Responsible Retailer award.

Our Guides meet every Tuesday during term time only at St Michaels Hall Tilehurst. We have 3 leaders, 3 Leaders in Training and 7 Young leaders. Kim is our main Guide Leader in charge, along with Kirsty, Lauren, Mel, Claire, Lauren, Rebecca, Ellen, Gemma, Alice, Lara and Katie, they help #GuidesMakeInformedDecisions.
